Please join us in Portland on Saturday and Sunday October 18-19, 2025, for the 34th annual Portland Sacred Harp Singing Convention!
No previous singing experience is required, and newcomers are encouraged to attend.
We will sing from the 2025 Sacred Harp edition (Denson). Loaner books will be available.
7-9pm Third Thursday Shenandoah Singing at the Kennedy School Community Room (5736 NE 33rd Ave)
7-9pm Singing School, given by David Wright, on the 2025 Denson Sacred Harp Revision, at the Musician's Union Hall (325 NE 20th Avenue)
9am-3pm Convention! Registration at 9am, singing at 9:30am, dinner on the grounds at noon, at the Laurelhurst Club (3721 SE Ankeny St)
Evening Social, at the home of a local singer in NE Portland (address will be given at the singing)

Post-singing "Afterglow" social, at a local brewpub (TBA)
The Laurelhurst Club, the main venue for singing, is fully accessible via a ramp from the sidewalk, and there is plenty of nearby on-street parking.
The Kennedy School Community Room, the venue for our Third Thursday Shenandoah Singing, is fully accessible via a ramp from the parking lot.
The Musician's Union Hall, the venue for our Friday Singing School, is fully accessible with a small parking lot.
We kindly request all attendees to take a Covid test each singing day (including Friday), less than 2 hours prior to entering the venue.
We do have an abundance of Covid tests onsite to share with all singers; please show up early to grab some and test onsite any of the days.
Please stay home if you are ill or have any respiratory symptoms, out of care for each other and especially our elder and immunocompromised singers.
Venue doors and windows will be open to ensure optimal ventilation. Please dress accordingly.

There are also numerous AirBnB's within walking distance; search in the Belmont/Sunnyside, Laurelhurst, and Kerns neighborhoods. Your best hotel options are the Aloft, Holiday Inn Express, and Residence Inn at the airport (PDX), all modern hotels adjacent to MAX light rail stations that are a single easy transfer away from The Laurelhurst Club.
